Over my acupuncture career, which will enter its 40th year in August, 2018, I have followed the Japanese meridian-balance approach. In this organization, health and vitality is achieved and maintained by balancing the acupuncture channels. Excesses and deficiencies on the channels are determined, with point selection based on achieving the balance with as few needles as possible.
During these years, I have refined and concentrated my approach into what I call the 3-LEVEL ACUPUNCTURE PROTOCOL. This is a synthesis of my original studies with Dr. Ineon Moon in the mid-1970s, and enhanced through my later studies with Dr Miki Shima, Shudo Denmai, the Japanese Meridian Therapy Association (Keriaku Chiryo) and the teachings of Dr. Yoshio Manaka. The work has taken a giant leap forward with the introduction of computerized meridian diagnosis and analysis (AcuGraph), which I have been using over the last 6 years.
In this protocol, three levels are balanced: the Primary channel balance insures unobstructed circulation of qi (energy) and blood throughout the body. The Eight Extra channel treatment aligns and balances the musculo-skeletal body. The Divergent channel treatment balances and restores the internal organs. Using ion-pumping cords to move places of excess to places of deficiency, this treatment achieves an extraordinarily deep and profound balancing of the body’s energy. Patients report a deep relaxation and calmness during the treatment. In the days following the treatment, vitality increases, and health issues lessen in severity and frequency.
Having treatments once a month has proven to be effective at boosting the immune system, and minimizing disorders and complaints from arising.
I recommend that all my patients receive a 3-Level Balance once a month as a high-level prevention and maintenance treatment. It will boost vitality and immune function, and minimize problems before they develop, as well as treat deep-seated internal complaints affecting respiration, digestion and chronic infection.
For musculoskeletal complaints, from injury or over-use, post-surgery and the grinds of daily life, I highly recommend the treatments offered by Raphael Fratkin at our clinic. Raphi addresses structural work by combining Chinese tui na and acupuncture. Besides physical medicine, Raphi also treats insomnia, as well as other internal complaints. Raphi is the only practitioner I saw who has been able to help my frozen shoulder. He can be contacted directly at RaphaelFratkin.com
