JAKE PAUL FRATKIN, OMD, L.Ac. trained in Korean and Japanese acupuncture since 1975, and Chinese herbal medicine since 1982. He spent a year in Beijing hospitals specializing in internal disorders and pediatrics. He is the author of 4 important reference works on Chinese medicine, and has a history as program director and faculty at numerous acupuncture colleges.
Jake has been a practitioner of Oriental Medicine since 1978, utilizing Chinese herbal medicine, Japanese meridian balancing and nutritional medicine. He specializes in internal disorders, infections and pediatrics.
He is the recipient of ACUPUNCTURIST OF THE YEAR, 1999, by the AAAOM and TEACHER OF THE YEAR, 2006, American Association of Teachers of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AATAOM). He lives and practices in Boulder, Colorado.

Other: Jake is a master practitioner of Yang style Taijiquan and qi gong, which he has studied since 1974, and taught since 1978. Jake’s taiji lineage is with Master Waysun Liao and Domingo Tu, both in Chicago. His qi gong training started with his acupuncture teacher Dr. Ineon Moon, and continued through many teachers, culminating with his advanced medical qi gong training in Beijing, China during his medical studies there in 1987-1988.
